Revisit the radical heart of Yiddish-speaking communities in Toronto. From Labour Day Parades to Yom Kippur Balls, explore hidden histories and diverse lineages of Toronto’s Yiddish activists: the 1933 anti-fascist march up Spadina, the music of the Toronto Jewish Folk Choir, and the life of Emma Goldman. Guided by Sharoni Sibony + UJPO members, uncover a legacy of resistance, resilience, and creativity to inspire us in confronting fascism today.

Please note: We are sold out of the September 14 tour and the September 21 Art with the Archives workshop.

Presented with support from the Yiddish Book Center’s Yiddish Arts and Culture Initiative for Jewish Communities, and the Ontario Arts Council.
